\nWhere We Stayed: The Killarney Plaza Hotel<\/em><\/p>\n

We started our day with a ride on a horse-drawn jaunting car through Killarney National Park.\u00a0 From there we hopped on the bus and started our Ring of Kerry journey.\u00a0 The Ring of Kerry is a 111-mile tourist route in County Kerry — and it’s a tourist route for a reason: it is\u00a0gorgeous<\/em>.\u00a0 The Ring of Kerry was one of our favorite parts of this trip. The entire experience reminded me a little bit of the Road to Hana in Hawaii — winding roads, takes all day to go 111 miles, goregous scenery at every turn, etc.<\/p>\n

We stopped at many little towns during the course of our journey: Killorglin, Cahersiveen (the birthplace of Irish patriot Daniel O’Connell), Waterville (Charlie Chaplin and his family vacationed there and there’s a statue of him in the center of the village), Sneem (colorful and cute).<\/p>\n

The Ring of Kerry was stunning and so GREEN.\u00a0 I’ll never get over how gorgeous and magical Ireland is — it really does get into your blood and it changes your heart.<\/p>\n
