{"id":16884,"date":"2025-06-28T08:07:44","date_gmt":"2025-06-28T13:07:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.anniee.net\/?page_id=16884"},"modified":"2025-06-28T08:07:44","modified_gmt":"2025-06-28T13:07:44","slug":"travelogue-disney-cruise-to-alaska-part-1","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.anniee.net\/?page_id=16884","title":{"rendered":"Travelogue: Disney Cruise to Alaska, Part 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>July 2024<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Cruise to Alaska on the Disney Wonder<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This post will cover our first day at sea and our visit to Stikine Icecap.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-align: center;\">Mike\u2019s mom and stepdad were so generous and treated the entire family to a 7-night cruise to Alaska on the Disney Wonder! \u00a0We made stops at Stikine Icecap, Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>I would 100% recommend this trip to anyone. \u00a0The Disney ship was beautiful and clean, the food was really good (Animator\u2019s Palate was particularly special), the on-board entertainment was varied and plentiful, and the excursions that we experienced at each port were super fun.<\/li>\n<li>Also, for those who don\u2019t have kids but enjoy Disney: take a Disney cruise! Yes, there are a lot of kids on board (but there are also a lot of kids when you go to the Disney parks, right?). You can make the entire experience as kid-centric or adult-centric as you\u2019d like it to be \u2013 just like the parks. \u00a0There is an adults-only restaurant, adults-only pool, adults-only bar, etc.<\/li>\n<li>From what I understood, the Dawes Glacier is part of the Stikine Icecap. Our ship stopped in the middle of a fjord and those that signed up for the excursion (us!) got off the ship and onto a smaller boat for a more up-close view. \u00a0It was windy and chilly but SO BEAUTIFUL!<\/li>\n<li>Mike had a margarita made with glacial ice cubes. The kids got to hold a chunk of glacial ice.
