Where We Stayed: The Contemporary
- We started our first full Disney day with Mickey waffles at Contempo Cafe! I am slightly sad that they got rid of the big waffle in favor of three smaller waffles, but I’ll live ;-)
- Much to my total surprise and delight, Jeanne bought herself a Loungefly for the trip. An all-black, very simple Loungefly. Though she could never remember “Loungefly” and kept calling it her “fly trap.” She was also willing to wear a Disney t-shirt for one (1) day. Who is she and what has this person done with my mother??!
- We had a really nice and chill day at the Magic Kingdom. Just walked around, had Starbucks and Joffrey’s, ate our required Mickey pretzel and Dole Whip, and went into every single gift shop on property. Jeanne is also intrigued by the pins. Not enough to become a pin person, but enough for her to support ME being a complete and total pin person. I don’t know what got into her on this trip, but my heart soared watching her lean into the whimsy and the fun of it all.

Jeanne’s knees were hurting, so I dropped her back off at the hotel and then went back for more Magic Kingdom cuteness.
