Tauck’s “Blue Danube” River Cruise
- This post, Part 1, will cover our time in Vienna.
- We had another rainy day for Vienna, which probably didn’t help our opinion that the city was lackluster at best. We just didn’t love it. I know, I know, so many people rave about Vienna! I get it. I was surprised that we didn’t love it more, but… meh.
- We took a walking tour of the city with a phenomenal guide, we went shopping, and saw some cute dogs, so all was not lost.
- I also couldn’t help but think of the line from Beauty and the Best, “If it’s not baroque, don’t fix it!”

The Plague Column was built in celebration after the Great Plague epidemic of 1679 was over.
